- Sap Sybase provided different HA solution like Oracle or SQLServer. In the past like Oracle RAC there was a cluster Edition and hardware specific HA solution using Solaris, AIX or Windows operating system. Unfortunately, these two options are no longer supported by SAP anymore.

Backup and recovery are very basic system 101 for the system admins or for the database team.
